WATER RESTRICTIONS—Beginning Sunday July 17, 2022

With drought conditions and extreme hot weather continuing in Clifton, we are issuing mandatory water restrictions for all water customers beginning Sunday July 17, 2022, allowing customers only 2 watering days per week. Your cooperation is appreciated as the city adheres to this plan as well and continues to conserve water use by following the current water schedule.

Sunday & Thursday                        Addresses ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6 or 8)

Wednesday & Saturday                 Addresses ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7 or 9)

Tuesday & Friday                              Commercial (Hospital, Businesses, Churches and School)

Watering times will be between the hours of 12:00am – 10:00am and 8:00p.m – 11:59pm. Watering between 10:00am and 8: 00p.m is prohibited.

Example: If your day is Tuesday, you can begin watering at midnight – 10: 00a.m, no watering from 10: 00a.m – 8: 00p.m and begin watering again from 8:00p.m. to midnight.

However, irrigation of landscaped areas is permitted at any time if it is by means of a handheld hose, bucket or watering can of 5 gallons or less, or drip irrigation system. Use of water to wash any motor vehicle, boat, trailer, airplane, or other vehicle is prohibited except on designated days.

Failure to comply could result in a fine up to $500.00.

Anyone trying to establish a new lawn can contact City Hall and ask for a variance pertaining to the request.
