Clifton Lions Club

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.

The Clifton Lions Club is celebrating 90 years of service to the community and beyond.  Locally, Lions provide scholarships to graduating Clifton High School seniors, offer vision screenings to those who cannot afford them, annually sponsor children to attend Texas Lions Camp, and collect and donate thousands of eyeglasses to be recycled and donated.  You will see Clifton Lions at every home football game selling candy and drinks, and you’ll certainly want to enjoy the Pancake Supper they hold twice a year.

Over the years, Clifton Lions Club has provided upgrades and modifications to City properties including Clifton City Park and the Civic Center.  In 1937, Clifton Lions Club sponsored the construction of Legacy Park’s Little Alamo Home Economics Building and the Auction Barn for the Central Texas Fair.  In the 1970’s, Clifton Lions established the Clifton Chamber of Commerce.

Clifton Lions Club meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at noon in the First United Methodist Church, 303 South Avenue E, Clifton, Texas.
