Central Texas Youth Fair

In Bosque County, Summer is Fair Time.

The 2022 Central Texas Youth Fair’s County Fair will be held June 7th – 11th at the Clifton Fairgrounds.

In Bosque County, the Central Texas Youth Fair is a long-standing institution – a culmination of the generosity of donors, the countless hours of zealous volunteers, and the abiding support of the community.  Established in 1931, the Central Texas fair continues to cultivate the agricultural heritage of Bosque County by providing area youth with a supportive, competitive arena in which to exhibit projects in home economics, ag mechanics, record-keeping, and livestock and crops.   The CTYF Fair is open to area youth participating in Bosque County 4-H and FFA programs.

Central Texas Youth Fair opens on Tuesday, June 7th, with events continuing daily through Saturday afternoon’s sale.  Thursday afternoon, June 9th, the Jackpot Show begins at 2pm; this contest is open to participants in 4-H and FFA across Texas.  The closing event of the fair is the annual cash sale of champions livestock and cakes, a great opportunity to support hard-working, dedicated students.

In addition to hosting the Central Texas Youth Fair, CTYF volunteers work to maintain and improve the Clifton Fair Barns and Grounds.  The venue is used throughout the year for shows, sales, and workshops hosted by not only Bosque County organizations but also many others from across Texas.
